Clara "Irene" Whitworth was born in Velma, Oklahoma on June 5, 1938, to James Wilson and Mary Adrenna (Snider) Hall. She passed away at her home in Duncan on Tuesday, October 10, at the age of 85.
No services are planned at this time. Arrangements have been entrusted to Whitt Funeral Home/Oakcrest Cremation Center.
Irene enjoyed bowling and even bowled a 299-game. She loved to dance, especially the waltz and jitterbug. She also loved to cook and owned Irene's Snack Shack in the mall for 29 years. She was famous for her meatloaf, baked potatoes, and peach cobbler.
She is survived by her son, Randall Dale Whitworth and wife Lisa of Mesquite, Nevada; seven grandchildren: Anthony Sinagra and wife Ashley of Boston, Massachusetts, Randall Whitworth of Visalia, California, Marshall Whitworth of Visalia, California, Keneth Baxter of Oklahoma City, Kristopher Baxter of Oklahoma City, Lena Sanson and husband Chris of Davie, Florida, and David Vescio of Key West, Florida; 13 great-grandchildren; brothers: Bob Hall and wife Kay of Duncan, Frank Hall of Duncan; numerous nieces and a nephew; and special friend, Robert "Bob" Crocker.
Irene was preceded in death by her husband, Hoyt Eugene Whitworth; her daughters: Tana Lea Sinagra, Karan Sue Castellanos, and Tina Ann Vescio; grandchildren: Ricky, Becky, and Rachael.
