Clarence "Wayne" Dwane Terry

Clarence "Wayne" Terry, 68, of Duncan, Oklahoma, passed away peacefully at his home on Friday, May 15, 2026. He was born February 22, 1958, in Pampa, Texas, to Clarence LeRoy and Margaret Lucille (Behrens) Terry.

Wayne retired after 37 years of dedicated service to the City of Pampa, working as the Assistant Director of Public Works. His commitment to his community and his strong work ethic left a lasting impact on those who worked alongside him.

On October 14, 1988, Wayne married the love of his life, Glenda Burris, in Pampa, Texas. Together they built a life filled with love, laughter, and family. Wayne was a proud and enthusiastic OU fan, and he found joy in riding motorcycles, camping, and watching wrestling with his daughter, son-in-law, and grandson. Above all, he cherished time spent with his family, who were the center of his world.

Wayne is preceded in death by his parents; his brother, Roger Terry; and his in-laws, Glen and Joan Burris.

He is survived by his wife, Glenda, of the home; his children: Julie Cain and husband Ted of Duncan, Randall Cady Jr. and wife Rachel of Dallas/Ft. Worth, and Gary Cady of Denver. He is also survived by his grandchildren: Kaleb Born, Dakota David, Courtney David, and Ana Cady; great-grandchildren: Alan Born, Alexis Born, and one on the way. Additional survivors include his brothers: LeRoy Terry and wife Sheila, Larry Terry, and Richard Thomas; his sisters: Tammie Terry-Gunsolus and Betty Terry-Gunsolus and husband Jerry; along with many nieces, nephews, and extended family members who loved him dearly.

Viewing is available at Whitt Funeral Home until 5:00 P.M. today, Tuesday, May 18. A funeral service is planned for 2:00 P.M., Tuesday, May 19, in the Whitt Funeral Home Chapel with Jerry Gunsolus officiating and Randall Cady, Gary Cady, Tim Smith, Rocky Burris Jr., Donnie Hooper, and Dale Coffin serving as pallbearers.
