Coby Clint Gray was born April 2, 1987, in Duncan, Oklahoma to James Gray and Kim Watkins (Walden). He passed away unexpectedly in San Diego, California on September 16, 2024 at the age of 37.

Growing up in Duncan, Coby enjoyed all sports, especially dirt bike racing, hockey, fishing, and camping.
Coby was a 2006 graduate of Empire High School where he was active in football, baseball, and wrestling. He was an All-Area All-State athlete. He worked as a diesel mechanic for Halliburton Services.

He is preceded in death by his father, James Gray; maternal grandparents, Howard and Beth Walden; and paternal grandparents, Mikel and Wilma Gray.

Survivors include his mother, Kim Watkins (Walden) and husband Dave Watkins; daughter, Baylor Cook and her parents, Makensi and Brandon Cook; brothers: Colt Gray and wife Melissa, Clay Gray and wife Mandy; nephews: Ely Gray, Ty Gray, Quincy Gray; as well as other family and close friends who loved him and helped in his lifetime.
