Connie Marie Boelen, of Cyril, Oklahoma, was born March 18, 1947 in Clinton to Grover Walton "GW" and Elsie Regina (Baker) Wright. She passed away on Friday, November 19, 2021, with her family by her side in Lawton at the age of 74.
Visitation will be Monday, November 22, between 4:00-6:00 PM at the Cyril Funeral Home. A graveside service is scheduled for Tuesday, November 23, at 10:00 AM in the Celestial Gardens Cemetery in Cyril with Pastor Kip Ackley officiating. Serving as pallbearers will be Bobbie Boelen, Jason Stamper, Willie Johnson, Kurt Kinder, James Davis, and Dustin Wynn. Honorary pallbearer will be the late Rob Bland. Arrangements have been entrusted to Cyril Funeral Home.
Connie graduated from Butler High School with the Class of 1965. She received a Master's degree in Education from Southwestern Oklahoma State University in Weatherford. She married Gary Lynn Boelen on January 31, 1972 in Anadarko.
In 1970 she was employed as a teacher at the Cement High School where she taught Accounting, Business, and Computer Science until she retired in 1998. She enjoyed gardening and playing with her grand dogs. Connie loved her family and spending time with her son, Bo, who was very important to her.
Preceded in death by her parents and sister, Linda Ray, Connie is survived by her loving husband of almost 50 years, Gary; son and daughter-in-law, Boyce "Bo" and Jamie Boelen of Cyril; one sister; and numerous nieces and nephews.
