Dale Eberhart Obituary

Dale Eberhart was born September 9, 1954 in Duncan, Oklahoma to Chester Kenneth and Edith Pauline (Pamplin) Eberhart. He completed his earthly journey and met Jesus on Wednesday, August 3, 2022, in Oklahoma City with his family at his side.

Funeral services are planned for Friday, August 5, at 1:00 P.M. at New Hope Baptist Church West with Rev. Randy Southerland officiating. Serving as pallbearers will be Kenneth Eberhart, Dan Eberhart, Brandan Eberhart, Heath Eberhart, Adam Jung and Dakotah Jung. Honorary pallbearers are the Lawton Firefighters and the Central High Volunteer Firefighters. Interment will follow at Rock Creek Cemetery. Arrangements have been entrusted to Whitt Funeral Home.

Dale graduated from Central High School. He married the love of his life, Balinda Jackson, on August 6, 1976 at the Central Baptist Church near Marlow. Their family was completed when their daughter, Catrina, was born.

Dale's passion was spending time with his family, especially his grandchildren. They were the light of his life. His daughter was his hot rod and pumpkin pie, along with being the sparkle of his eye. Zoey was a partner in everything he did and Rylan loved riding the tractor and motorcycle with him. Their name for him was "Pop Pop." While he was able, he loved to ride on the firetruck in the Christmas parade. He was a volunteer firefighter for the Central High Volunteer Fire Department for 34 years while also working for the Lawton Fire Department for 21 years. From there he had a 'hobby' machinist job that kept him busy.

He loved his Harley-Davidson and his lifetime goal was to have one for every day of the week. He, at one time, had five. He enjoyed farm life and his cows. He couldn't sit still and was always working on something. He loved woodworking. He was a jack of all trades and a master of none. He was quite the tool collector and if he didn't have the right tool, he would make it.

Dale was a fighter when it came to his health and had cheated death many times. He said what he meant and meant what he said. He loved water skiing, M&M's, and tractors.

Preceded in death by his parents and sister, Janie Jung Justis, Dale is survived by his wife of 45 years, Balinda; daughter, Catrina; grandchildren: Zoey and Rylan; two brothers, Kenneth and wife Debbie Eberhart, Dan and wife Robbie Eberhart; and a host of friends and co-workers.

Memorial contributions can be made to the Central High Volunteer Fire Department, 166085 7-Mile Road, Marlow, OK 73055, or to the Rock Creek Cemetery, 273230 Ballpark Dr. Marlow, OK 73055.
