Daniel Scarbrough Obituary

Daniel George Scarbrough was born on September 12, 1943, in Detroit, Michigan to Gilbert Robert Scarbrough and Margie Evelyn (Miller) Kenny. He passed away suddenly at his home in Duncan, Oklahoma on Sunday, April 7, 2024 at the age of 80.

Arrangements have been entrusted to Whitt Funeral Home/Oakcrest Cremation Center.

Daniel served in the Marine Corps before working as a supervisor in refrigeration refineries. He married Betty Lou Ford in June of 1975. Daniel enjoyed watching westerns and listening to country music, especially Jerry Lee Lewis, George Strait, and Martina McBride. He loved taking care of his family and enjoyed going to watch his grandchildren play sports. He will be remembered as a loving husband, father, and grandfather.

He is preceded in death by his parents; daughters: Angel Marie Huffman and Gayle Scarbrough; and many brothers and sisters.

Survivors include his wife of 46 years, Betty; children: Danny Scarbrough of Oregon, Tammy Cannova and husband Bob of Dixon, CA, David Scarbrough and wife Mary of Paradise, CA, Tracy Scarbrough of Duncan and John "Richard" Scarbrough and wife Leesa of Duncan; several grandchildren and great-grandchildren; brother-in-law, Jim Ford; and many nieces and nephews.
