Obituary
David Lynn Cox was born October 7, 1958, in Beaver, Oklahoma to Donald Junior and Betty Jane (Chaney) Cox. He finished his earthly journey on September 7, 2023, in Oklahoma City at the age of 64.
A memorial service is planned for 2:00 P.M. Saturday, September 16, at Whitt Funeral Home Chapel with Pastor Kevin Alaniz officiating. Arrangements have been entrusted to Whitt Funeral Home/Oakcrest Cremation Center.
After graduating from Duncan High School in 1977, David worked as an equipment operator in the oil industry. He enjoyed fishing, playing poker with friends, and playing UNO on Sundays with his family. David liked to cook and barbecue as well. Most of all, he loved spending time with his friends and family.
Preceded in death by his father and a nephew, Terry Cox, David is survived by his mother, Betty; brothers: Johnny Cox and wife Darlene, Mike Cox and wife LaTina; Ricky Allen Cox and wife Nancy; and sister, Donna Lemons.
