David Fletcher Obituary
David Edward Fletcher, Jr., of Marlow, was born on September 11, 1961, in Carnegie, Oklahoma to David Edward and Margaret Marie (Sawyer) Fletcher. He made his journey to Heaven on Monday, December 9, 2019, with his family by his side. He was 58.
Funeral services are scheduled for Friday, December 13, at 10:00 A.M. in the Whitt Funeral Home Chapel with Lynn Parkhurst, pastor of Calvary Baptist Church-Marlow, officiating. Interment will follow in the Marlow Cemetery. Arrangements have been entrusted to Whitt Funeral Home.
David was a 1980 graduate of Cyril High School. He was employed as a heavy equipment operator and truck driver. He married the love of his life, Gayla Lynn Anthony, on June 5, 2013, in Lawton.
He enjoyed fishing and playing pool. NASCAR and westerns were his favorite television programs. He had even become an OU fan recently. He loved being around people, especially his family.
David is survived by his wife, Gayla; children: Brandon Fletcher of Duncan, Tripp Snyder of Fletcher, Cassie Berthold and husband Greg of Loco, Amber Edie and Darion Moore of Edmond; grandchildren: Koda Fletcher, Bryson Fletcher, Chase Berthold, Tyler Smiddy, Kenny Brown, Eli Edie; brothers: Clarence Brinkley of Haywood and Freddy Fletcher and wife Debbie of Cache; sister, Debbie Chandler and husband Cecil of Lawton; brother-in-law, Greg McNight; and many nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents and sister, Barbara McNight.
