David Gray Obituary
David Lynn Gray, 72, went to be with the Lord surrounded by his family on Friday, August 8,2025. He was born in Chickasha, OK on May 6,1953 to Jesse and Bonnie Gray.
A memorial service is scheduled for Saturday, August 30th at 11:00am in the Whitt Funeral Home Chapel with Ron Savage officiating. Inurnment will follow in the Duncan Cemetery. Arrangements have been entrusted to Whitt Funeral Home.
At the age of 2, he and his family moved to Duncan where he graduated from Duncan High School in 1971 and met his high school sweetheart, Rowena Franks. They married June 2, 1972 and resided in Duncan for 52 years where they raised their daughters, Lee and Lori. They moved to Yukon, OK in September 2024 to be closer to their family. David joined the National Guard in 1971 and served 6 years. As a young man he worked for the Duncan Banner until he went to work for Halliburton for 42 years. He was also a member of the Duncan Masonic Lodge since 1983.
David loved being with his grandchildren. He had a great love for dogs, especially his dachshunds and grand-dogs. He also loved visiting with friends, neighbors, and caregivers. He loved his family and was the best husband, dad, and Pappy.
Preceding him in death were his parents, Jesse and Bonnie Gray; Brothers, Danny and Dennis.
David is survived by his wife, Rowena Gray; his daughters, Lee Bicknell and husband Eric Bicknell of Yukon, OK; Lori Rader and husband Aron Rader of Blanchard, OK; Grandchildren, Hannah Bicknell of Yukon, OK, Joshua Rader of Union City, OK, Emma Bicknell of Yukon, OK, Erica Bicknell of Yukon, OK, and Jack Rader of Blanchard, OK; Brother Darrell Gray of Houston, TX; many precious in laws, nieces, and nephews.
Honorary Pallbearers: Eric Bicknell, Aron Rader, Hannah Bicknell, Joshua Rader, Emma Bicknell, Erica Bicknell, and Jack Rader.
