David Allen Patterson, of Clinton, Oklahoma, was born December 5, 1943 in Duncan, Oklahoma to Bryant Allen and Josephine Elizabeth (Teier) Patterson. He passed away on Thursday, August 8, 2024, in Oklahoma City at the age of 80.

No services are planned. David will be greatly missed. Arrangements have been entrusted to Whitt Funeral Home.

David served in the U.S. Navy from December 6, 1960 to June 29, 1962. On January 28, 1963 he married Della Sue Roden. Two sons - Kent and Scott - were born. He was a self-employed carpenter who did remodeling and carpentry for over 20 years. He was also a butcher for 20 years.

He enjoyed fishing, watching television, and playing the guitar. He also enjoyed traveling to Colorado and New Mexico.

David is survived by his wife of 61 years, Della; son, Kent Patterson; grandson, Trevor Patterson; sister, Billie Champion; and brother-in-law, Terry Roden. He was preceded in death by his parents; son, Scott Patterson; brother, James Patterson; and sister, Vernell Lewis.
