David Neil Selman, 61, of Duncan, Oklahoma, passed away peacefully at his home on Friday, May 22, 2026. He was born on June 27, 1964, in Raceland, Louisiana, to Sam Selman and Myrtle Whann.

David worked as a security guard with Swiss & Wiser Security, where he was known for his reliability and steady presence. He also served his community as a member of the Jefferson County Water Board, taking pride in contributing to the place he called home. In his free time, David was a true outdoorsman. He found joy in the simple, grounding pleasures of life-fishing, hunting, and camping.

David is survived by his beloved wife, Mona (Vincent) Selman; his children, Matthew Smith and Samuel Adams Sr.; and his grandchildren, Briana Rider, JJ Francis, Jasmine Francis, and Jayce Francis.

He is also survived by his brothers Robert Giddens (Donna), Al Benoit (Tammy), Michael Letterman (Stephanie), Jack Francis, and Donnie Robeau; and his sisters Stephanie Marino (Shannon), Annette Thomas, Jo Ledesma, and Lorraine Noriega.

He was preceded in death by his parents and his sister, Sandra Selman.

Cremation arrangements are being handled by Whitt Funeral Home/Oakcrest Cremation Center.
