David "Brent" Cole

David "Brent" Cole was born June 12, 1986, in Duncan, Oklahoma to Ronnie and Janet (Martin) Cole. He passed away on Monday, September 14, 2026, at the age of 40.

Brent graduated from Marlow High School in 2005, where his talent and love for the game of golf gave him the opportunity to continue playing at the collegiate level. He attended the University of Central Oklahoma on a golf scholarship and graduated in 2009 with a bachelor's degree.

On June 20, 2009, Brent married Natalie Hammond and was later blessed with a beloved daughter, Brooklyn Grace, who held a very special place in his heart. Being her dad was an important part of his life, and the love he had for her will forever remain a treasured part of his memory.

Golf remained a lifelong passion of Brent's and was something he enjoyed sharing with those closest to him. He especially enjoyed talking with his niece and nephew after a round of golf, always ready to offer encouragement, share a few tips, and help them improve their game.

Brent also loved spending time outdoors hunting and fishing. A cowboy at heart, he enjoyed riding horses and everything that came with the cowboy way of life. His faithful dog, Wolf, was rarely far from his side and held a special place in his heart.

Preceded in death by his grandparents, Ray and Dovie Martin, Joe and Violet Cole, Brent is survived by his wife, Natalie, and their daughter, Brooklyn. He is also survived by his parents, Ronnie Cole and Janet Cole; his sister Tara Tolman and her husband B.J.; his brothers-in-law Ryan Haley and his wife, Jordan, and Aaron Haley and his wife, Olivia; and his in-laws, Dan and Nichole Hammond. He also leaves behind his beloved niece and nephews, Ella and Kole Tolman and Luke Haley.

His family is planning a memorial service for a later date. Cremation arrangements have been entrusted to Whitt Funeral Home/Oakcrest Cremation Center.
