Delbert Lee Green Obituary

Duncan resident Delbert Lee Green, age 94, passed away on Thursday, February 12, 2026, in the Oklahoma Veterans Home - Lawton. He was born to Bert Lee and Flossie Elizabeth (Wright) Green on September 4, 1931 in Marlow, Oklahoma.

Visitation is planned for Sunday, February 15, from 2:00-4:00 PM at Whitt Funeral Home. Graveside services will be Monday, February 16, at 2:00 PM at the Hastings (OK) Cemetery with Pastor Randy Southerland officiating.

Delbert attended school at Star, Weaver, and Diamond prior to joining the US Army in 1952 and was honorably discharged in 1954, serving in the Korean War. He became a farmer, cattleman, and custom wheat and corn harvester. Later in life he drove school buses for two different schools. His hobbies included playing dominoes, quail hunting, and cheering for the Dallas Cowboys. Delbert was a member of New Hope Baptist Church West.

He married the love of his life, Gwyn Dell Masoner, on June 28, 1952 at Byers, Texas. Together they raised three sons - Mike, Kirby and Chuck.

Delbert is survived by his loving wife of 73 years, Gwyn Masoner Green; 3 sons and 2 daughters-in-law: Mike, Kirby and Desireé, Chuck and Christy; 10 grandchildren; 20 great grandchildren; 9 great-great grandchildren; and 1 sister, Christine Mulligan.

He was preceded in death by his parents; daughter-in-law, Janice Nichols Green; 3 sisters; and 4 brothers.
