Dewayne Kaspereit Obituary

Herman “Dewayne” Kaspereit was born July 26, 1964 in Duncan, Oklahoma to Herman Jefferson and Donna Faye (Merritt) Kaspereit. He passed away in Duncan on December 8, 2021 at the age of 57.

A Celebration of Life is scheduled for Saturday, January 8, 2022, at 10:00 A.M. at Freedom Biker Church with Bro. Billy Morgan officiating. Serving as honorary pallbearers will be the Duncan Fire Department and Halliburton Cementing Department. Arrangements have been entrusted to Whitt Funeral Home/Oakcrest Cremation Center.

Dewayne graduated with the Class of 1982 at Duncan High School, where he was involved in football and FFA. He married his loving wife, Twyla Kay Miller, in Comanche on August 8, 1982. They were married for 39 wonderful years before his passing.

He worked for the City of Duncan in various departments until he became a firefighter with the Duncan Fire Department. He retired with 22 years of service. He also own and operated Kaspereit’s Pest Control and Kaspereit’s Tree Service. Dewayne served as manager in the Halliburton Cement Department for 10 years.

Dewayne enjoyed hunting, fishing, camping, cooking, gardening and riding his Harley. He loved family get-togethers and being able to spend time with friends and family. He loved helping others and was a good friend to many people. His sense of humor was always a surprise – you never knew what was coming next. There are a lot of great motorcycle memories of his spontaneous entertainment of music, dancing, and jokes. He loved being with his grandchildren, taking them on ice cream trips and being involved with their activities where he was their #1 cheerleader fan. His grandchildren were his pride and joy and he loved them dearly. Dewayne had a loving bond with his cat, Earl. “Stay Hungry my Friends.”

Preceded in death by his mother, Donna Faye Kaspereit, and his parents-in-law, Aaron Dee and Ila Rose Miller, Dewayne is survived by his wife, Twyla; children: Chad Kaspereit, Sarah Mavroudis and husband Joe, all of Duncan; grandchildren: Chase Kaspereit, Cali Kaspereit, Elli Kaspereit, Khloe Mavroudis, Jax Mavroudis; father, Herman Jefferson Kaspereit; sisters: Sandra Lumley-Balm and husband Larry of Texas, Ginger Tinney and husband Mike of Norman; sisters-in-law: Carla Griffin and husband Jimmy, Cindy Reece and husband David; and many nieces, nephews and cousins.
