Albert "Don" Anderson, age 89, went to be with his Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, while under the wonderful care of the VA Center and Life Spring Hospice in Norman, Oklahoma. He was born December 15, 1931 in Maxwell, Oklahoma to Green A. and Maudie M. Anderson.
A graveside service will be held Wednesday, September 8, 2021, at 11:00 A.M. in the Duncan Municipal Cemetery with his son-in-law, Tom Brown, officiating. Arrangements have been entrusted to Whitt Funeral Home/Oakcrest Cremation Center of Duncan.
After Don graduated from Stonewall High School, he proudly served his country in the Air Force during the Korean Conflict. He obtained his Chemical Engineering degree at Oklahoma State University. He was a brilliant engineer with a career in research and development for the United States Government.
Don loved his children and family and enjoyed sharing his love of traveling and of flying his private airplane with them. He had an adventurous spirit and often tried new things, which instilled a sense of adventure in his family.
Don is survived by his children: Rebecca and spouse Thomas Brown of Oklahoma City, Judy and spouse Donald Risner of Davis, Keith and spouse Cindy Anderson of Tulsa; grandchildren: Tricia and spouse Michael McGuire, Amy and spouse James Odvody, Carl and spouse Cynthia Pinson, Christopher Brown, Jordan Risner and fiance Megan Carson, Daryn and spouse Trent Wauters, Hannah Anderson, James Anderson; 15 great grandchildren; 2 great great grandchildren; and sister-in-law (brother Chester's wife), Diana Anderson.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Green and Maudie Anderson; sisters: Maurine Anderson Dickson and Madeline Anderson Reynolds; and brothers, Houston Anderson and Chester Anderson.
