Donald Lloyd Herrin

Donald Lloyd Herrin was born to Lloyd Jack and Margaret Emily Herrin on June 19, 1946, in Vernal, Utah. He finished his earthly journey in Duncan, Oklahoma on September 3, 2023, at the age of 77.

Viewing is planned at Whitt Funeral Home on Tuesday, September 12, from 9:00 A.M. to 5:00 P.M. A funeral service is planned for 10:30 A.M., Wednesday, September 13, at Faith Church located at 1209 S 10th in Duncan with David Morrow officiating. Interment in the Fort Sill National Cemetery will follow at 1:00 P.M. Arrangements have been entrusted to Whitt Funeral Home.

Donald enlisted in the Marines in 1970, serving for 9 years. He was awarded several medals and decorations, including the Purple Heart for his service in Vietnam. After his time in the Marine Corps, Donald worked as a long-haul truck driver. He enjoyed fishing, watching football and playing golf. He was an excellent cook. Most of all, Donald loved being with his family.

Preceded in death by his parents and grandmother, Druceilla, Donald is survived by his children: Raela Herrin, Bryson Herrin, Ladonna Hopkins, Kim Herrin, Donald "DJ" Herrin, Sloan Canfield, Lisa Tolison, and Stephnie Conkin; 12 grandchildren: Amanda Sebastian, Jessica Keenan, Codie Solomon, Johnathan Herrin, Blaze Herrin, Bexleigh Canfield, Hatleigh Hill, Stetson Hill, Dawson Hill, Bella Arbuckle, Jaylyne Harris, and Brendan Herrin; and a brother, Richard Herrin.
