Donnie Lester Alsobrook

Donnie Lester Alsobrook was born August 4, 1936 in Bailey, Oklahoma to Ernie and Hazel Winnie (Palmore) Alsobrook. He passed away of Monday, September 13, 2021, in Midland, Texas. He was 85.

Funeral services are scheduled for Saturday, September 18, at 2:00 P.M. at Whitt Funeral Home in Duncan with Rev. David Hale officiating. Live streaming of the service can be seen at www.whittfh.com. Serving as pallbearers will be Ronnie Aldridge, Billy Wayne Aldridge, Kenny Maxwell, David Maxwell and Dale Goodrich. Interment will follow at Marlow Cemetery under the direction of Whitt Funeral Home.

Donnie graduated from Bray High School. He married Faye Karol Lewis on July 18, 1958 at Corpus Christi, Texas. Together, they raised two children – Donnie and Byron. He was employed as a Division Manager for Koch Oil Company. In 1991 he and Faye relocated to Midland where he retired from AT&T.

He enjoyed playing golf on Hogan Park where he was well known. He was also a hunter and fisherman. He loved the Dallas Cowboys and watching westerns on television. He was a man of integrity. Donnie was a good husband, father and grandfather.

Donnie is survived by his loving wife of 63 years, Faye; two sons: Donnie Alsobrook of Ardmore, Byron Alsobrook of Midland; grandchildren: Casey and Tonya Alsobrook, Kimber Alsobrook , Cara and Melvin Hawkins, Evan Alsobrook, Brittinay Hutson, Thayen and Lonnie Alsobrook, Tyler Alsobrook; great grandchildren: Brinson Cross, Braden Cross, Robert and Makayla Buenting, Aiden and Christian Hawkins, Brody Ray Warren, Oren Alsobrook, Tate Alsobrook, and Kye Alsobrook; brothers, Bill and Oley Alsobrook, Ernie and Linda Alsobrook; and sisters: Joan Alexander, Helen Aldridge.

He was preceded in death by his parents; brother, Lynn Alsobrook; and sister, Mildred Lee Swanson.
