Dorothy Kay Hahn

Dorothy Kay (Hemphill) Hahn was born November 18, 1961 in Grants Pass, Oregon to Emory Frederick and Thelma June (Knotts) Hemphill. She passed away on Tuesday, April 22, 2025, in Marlow, Oklahoma at the age of 63.

Visitation will be from 4:00-6:00 PM on Friday, April 25, at Whitt Funeral Home. Funeral services are planned for Saturday, April 26, at 10:00 AM in the Whitt Funeral Home chapel with Jeffrey Hemphill officiating. Serving as pallbearers are Patrick Hemphill, Joel Hall, Daniel Woodcock, Mahlon Hemphill, Justin Hemphill, and Michael Hall. Honorary pallbearers are Amir Raoufi, David Hemphill, Michael Hemphill, Mehdi Raoufi, Mahlon Raoufi, Shawn Hemphill, Brian Hemphill, and Bentley Hall. Interment will follow at Resthaven Memorial Gardens in Duncan.

After completing her education, Dorothy worked at many jobs from waitressing to helping at nursing homes, sometimes holding down more than one job to provide for her family. She had lots of fun giving people a hard time. She loved NASCAR races and was an avid OU fan. She loved a good cup of coffee, crocheting beautiful pieces, watching classic westerns, playing Scrabble, and working jigsaw puzzles. Most of all, she loved her family and Jesus very much.

Left to cherish their memories of Dorothy are her mother, Thelma Hemphill; children: Daniel and Heidi Woodcock, Patrick and Alissa Hemphill, Courtney and Byron Freeman, Joel and Anna Hall; 16 grandchildren; and 2 great grandchildren. She is also survived by her sister, Rosetta and Amir Raoufi; brothers: David and Carol Hemphill, Mahlon and Nancy Hemphill; and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her father, Emory Hemphill; and brother, Daniel Hemphill.

The family would like to give their deepest appreciation to the people who cared for her at Gregston's Nursing Home, Refuge Hospice, and Country Club Care.
