Eddie Hoyt Drath was born July 6, 1948 in Duncan, Oklahoma to Edwin Drath and Frances Lorraine Hardin Duboise. He completed his earthly journey on Monday, August 25, 2025, in Duncan with his wife at his side. He was 77.

There are no services planned at this time. Cremation arrangements are being handled by Whitt Funeral Home/Oakcrest Cremation Center.

Eddie graduated with the Duncan High School Class of 1966 and went on to attend Panhandle State University. He then proudly served his country in the U.S. Army and National Guard. He was employed as a truck driver and worked in maintenance for the city. He also trained horses for 30 years and was a member of the Cache Creek Cowboy Church. On June 14, 2015, Eddie married Leona Hicks and they spent 10 wonderful years together.

Preceded in death by his parents and grandparents, Eddie is survived by his wife, Leona (Hicks) Drath; and other family members.
