Merion "Elaine" White was born on December 22, 1949, in Duncan, Oklahoma, and was the cherished daughter of Marion and Carrie (Layn) Cobb. She passed away peacefully surrounded by her family on Sunday, November 30, 2025, at the age of 75.
The family will receive visitors from 5:00-7:00 P.M., Wednesday, December 3, at Whitt Funeral Home. Funeral services are planned for 10:00 A.M., Thursday, December 4, in the Whitt Funeral Home Chapel with Chris Dutton, pastor of Southern Baptist Church in Dixon, OK officiating. Interment will follow in the Duncan Municipal Cemetery with Tanner Brittain, Jaxon Millan, Brycen Millan, Johnny Rodriguez, Steven Boyd, and Benny Musgrove serving as pallbearers. Honorary pallbearers are Paul Dutton, Jim Thomas, and Granger Brittain.
On August 16, 1968, Elaine married the love of her life, Roger "Yankee" White, in Wichita Falls, Texas. Together they shared more than five decades of marriage until his passing earlier this year. Their union was blessed with two daughters, Dawn and April, whom they raised with devotion and love.
Elaine dedicated much of her career to working as a florist, where her creativity and eye for beauty touched countless lives. Beyond her work, she found her greatest joy in spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren and great-grandchildren, who were the light of her life. She treasured her friendships and embraced opportunities to travel, creating memories that will be cherished by all who knew her.
Elaine will be remembered for her warmth, kindness, and unwavering love for those around her. Her legacy lives on in the family she nurtured and the many lives she brightened with her presence.
She is survived by her daughters: Dawn White and wife Lona, April Millan; grandchildren: Lane, Tanner Brittain and wife Hailey, Jaxon Millan, Izabel Millan, Tatum White; great-grandchildren: Berkleigh Brittain, Granger Brittain; and sisters: Donna Cobb and Nancy Kabriel.
She is preceded in death by her husband, Roger "Yankee" White; parents, Marion and Carrie Cobb; brother, Sonny Williams; mother and father-in-law, Wellington J. and Gertrude (Gustafson) White; and 2 nephews.
