Frank Golden Obituary
Frank Eugene Golden, of Duncan, Oklahoma, was born July 29, 1947 in Abilene, Texas to Oscar Luther and Edna Juanita (Gallaher) Golden. He completed his earthly journey on Friday, September 16, 2022, surrounded by his loving family at his home. He was 75.
The family is planning a private memorial service at a later date. Arrangements have been entrusted to Whitt Funeral Home/Oakcrest Cremation Center.
Frank graduated from W. T. White High School in Dallas, Texas. He married Janis Henderson on January 12, 1968 at Dallas, Texas. To this union three wonderful children - Johnna Rene', Larry, and Haylee - were born. He was employed as an automobile mechanic for most of his life, but most recently worked as a driver for Tilley Pressure Test.
He enjoyed watching wrestling on television. He loved keeping the yard freshly mowed and was also very helpful around the house. A funny man, he loved to know that he made people laugh. He never met a stranger. He was a member of Connection Church.
Preceded in death by his parents and brother, Joe Bob Golden, Frank is survived by his wife of 54 years, Janis; his children: Johnna Rene' Golden of Meunster, Texas, Larry and spouse Griselda Golden of Valley View, Texas, Haylee and husband Steven Root of Duncan; and grandchildren: Mason VanBriggle, Prestin VanBriggle, Ethan Golden, Gabby Golden, Bella Golden, Breckyn Root, Everlee Root, and Whitnee Root.
