Franklin Howard Zorn, 79, passed away peacefully at his home in Marlow, Oklahoma, surrounded by his family on Wednesday, April 8, 2026. He was born on October 11, 1946, in Ellsworth, Kansas, to Albert and Minnie (Lyne) Zorn.
Frank proudly served his country in the United States Army for 23 years, from 1964 until his retirement in 1987 as a Command Sergeant Major. His dedication, leadership, and deep sense of duty defined his military career and earned him the respect of all who served alongside him.
On January 16, 1969, Frank married the love of his life, Donna Pitts, in Hopkinsville, Kentucky. Together they raised two daughters, Kimberly and Stephanie, and built a life filled with devotion and laughter. Their marriage remained strong and loving until Donna's passing.
Frank enjoyed the outdoors and spent many peaceful hours hunting and fishing. He was deeply committed to his family and took great pride in being a devoted husband, father, and grandfather. His steady presence, wisdom, and kindness will be remembered by all who knew him.
He is preceded in death by his parents, Albert and Minnie Zorn; his beloved wife, Donna; and brothers, Richard Zorn and Mike Zorn.
Frank is survived by his daughters: Kimberly Brayton of Marlow, and Stephanie Tullous and husband William (Billy) of Duncan; grandchildren: Violet Brayton and fiancé Hunter Stephens, of Chickasha, and Clayton Odermatt and wife Emily of Covington, Texas; sisters: Brenda Gagnon, Peggie Woods, Nadine Gable, Theresa Redden; and brother, David Zorn all of Kansas. He is also remembered by numerous extended family members and friends who will miss him dearly.
A graveside service will take place at 10:00 A.M., Thursday, April 16, at the Ft. Sill National Cemetery in Elgin. Cremation arrangements are being handled by Whitt Funeral Home/Oakcrest Cremation Center.
