Gordon Jay Fitzgerald was born on July 3, 1942 in Ardmore, Oklahoma to Lloyd David Fitzgerald and Ola Mae (Smith) Fitzgerald. He passed away with his wife at his side on Wednesday, June 9, 2021, at the age of 78 in Marlow.

Gordon served in the United States Navy for seven years after graduating from Duncan High School with the Class of 1963. They both knew they were going to spend the rest of their lives together, spending 39 years of marriage together. They truly were the love of each other's lives.
