Harma Lautrella Latham was born in Duncan, Oklahoma on March 29, 1949 to Elmore Otto and Estellene Lautrella (Harmon) Mitchell. She completed her earthly journey on Tuesday, September 30, 2025, with her family at her side. She was 76.
A memorial service is planned for Tuesday, October 7, at 11:00 A.M. in the Whitt Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. John Wheeler, Duncan First Christian Church, officiating. A live stream of her service will be available by visiting her obituary at www.whittfh.com. There will be no viewing.
Harma graduated with the Velma High School Class of 1967. She loved to work in her garden and bird watching. She loved animals in general but her cat, Smokey, was her favorite. She enjoyed walking and being outside. Her favorite pastime was spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren. Harma worked as a housekeeper for the casino and the Duncan Rescue Mission.
She was preceded in death by her parents and sisters: Sherry Barker and Carol Leonard. Harma is survived by the love of her life for the past 12 years, Benny Kirkpatrick; two children: Tana and husband Pete Calhoun, Cade and wife Juanys Latham, all of Duncan; and four grandchildren: Kaylee Cooper and fiancé David, Kylen Cooper and special person Cooper, Natalie Latham, Cade Latham; and bonus granddaughter, London Calhoun. She is also survived by her nieces: Karla Latham and Kim Doughty; and many dear great nieces and nephews. "Aunt Harmy loved you."
