Obituary
Harold Charles Peters, of Oklahoma City, Oklahoma, was born on February 26, 1934 in Clinton, Michigan to Roy J. and Maize (Mackenzie) Peters. He passed away on Friday, April 28, 2023, with family at his side in Duncan, Oklahoma.
A private family service is being planned. Arrangements have been entrusted to Whitt Funeral Home/Oakcrest Cremation Center.
After graduating from high school, Harold spent 20 years serving his country in the US Air Force as a Tech Sergeant. He married Margarete Kramer in February, 1956. Two daughters - Eva and Cathey - completed their family. He then worked 20 years for the City of Oklahoma City in the Computer Department.
His home was his castle and he loved working outside on his John Deere tractor. An animal lover, dogs were his favorites. He was very handy with tools and he kept their rental homes in good condition. He loved to be around people. Harold was known to enjoy a cold one at the end of the day.
Harold is survived by his wife of 67 years, Margarete; daughters and sons-in law: Eva and Lance Spauling of Duncan, Cathey and Scott Haigh of Edmond; five grandchildren: Ryan Spaulding, Melissa Gray, Emily Brooksher, Geoffrey Smith, Connor Haigh; and four great grandchildren: Ely Gray, Ty Gray, Jake Irwin, Haley Irwin. He is also survived by one sister, Carol Jenks. He was preceded in death by his parents, two brothers, and four sisters.
