Hattie Phillips Obituary

Hattie "Pat" May Phillips was born on August 29, 1946, in Walters, Oklahoma to John and Liddie May (Davis) Owens. She passed away peacefully at her home in Duncan surrounded by her family on Tuesday, April 9, 2024 at the age of 77.

There are no services planned at this time in accordance with her wishes. Arrangements have been entrusted to Whitt Funeral Home/Oakcrest Cremation Center.

Pat enjoyed many activities including camping, riding motorcycles, playing cards, listening to oldies music, playing the keyboard, dancing and poetry. She loved to do medical research and her dream was to one day become a nurse. She loved all animals but her dog, Bear, was like one of her children. Most of all, Pat loved to spend time with her children and grandchildren. Her friends and family will remember her for her huge heart of gold and how she loved people and doing things for them.

She is preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Robert Ray Phillips; daughter, Teresa Lanctot; brothers: Ricky Owens, James Owens, Bill Owens, Art Owens, Dale Owens, and Jimmy Owens; and sisters: Catherine Owens, Bobby Jo Reid, and Gayle Hickey.

Survivors include her companion and domestic partner, Jarrell Crosby; children: Jimmy Phillips, Jennifer Brown, and Mary Ann Morrison; grandchildren: Violet Morrison and Owen Brown; brother, Ed Owens; and sister, Jerreta Parrish.
