Helen Trostle New went home to be with Jesus on Sunday, November 16, 2025. Helen was born to William and Corene Trostle in Webb City, OK on June 12,1938, the second youngest of seven children.

She grew up in Tecumseh, OK, where she graduated high school. Helen went on to attend college, graduating with a degree in accounting. She lived in Oklahoma City, OK; Denver, CO; Los Angeles, CA; eventually returning to Oklahoma City. She worked as a bookkeeper/accountant in government offices, and for the state of Oklahoma.

On December 29, 1980, Helen married Perry New at the Lake Murray Chapel in Ardmore, OK. They lived in Oklahoma City until 2004 when they moved to Choctaw, OK to live out their years. Helen loved animals and enjoyed the wildlife that would show up in their yard including hummingbirds, deer and turkey, but her favorite animals were cats. She enjoyed planting flowers in her yard and working puzzles of all sorts, from game puzzles to crosswords and nearly always had a jigsaw puzzle going, often of cats.

Helen was a faithful member of the United Methodist Church in Choctaw, OK.

She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband Perry, her sisters: Anna Hoover, Frances Worz, and her brothers: William Trostle Jr, Don Trostle, and Douglas Trostle.

She is survived by her sister Pauline Kenton of Bartlesville, OK; her sister-in-law, Carolyn Trostle of Duncan, OK; many nieces and nephews, as well as her stepdaughter, Marisa New and fiancé Robert Barkholz; stepson, Phillip New and wife Jamie, as well as grandchildren and much extended family.

A memorial service will be held at a later date.
