Herman Williams Obituary
Herman Dean Williams was born November 30, 1939 in Tatums, Oklahoma to Billy Williams and Rosie Mae Anderson-Petties. He passed away in Duncan on Friday, October 22, 2021, at the age of 81.
Services are scheduled for Wednesday, November 3, 2021 at 2:00 P.M. at Whitt Funeral Home with Rev. Ronald Boyd officiating. Cremation arrangements have been entrusted to Whitt Funeral Home/Oakcrest Cremation Center.
After his high school graduation, Herman was employed as a postal clerk for the US Postal Service. He was a member of the Bethel Baptist Church in Tatums. Herman was a kind, loving person who worked for the town of Tatums. He was always smiling and friendly to everyone.
Preceded in death by his parents and brother, Billy Brooks, Herman is survived by his daughter, Devorda Stinnett; stepchildren: Bridget Strongs, Rhonda Rogers, and Toney Johnson; grandchildren: Rae'Quel Strongs, Ramona Rogers, Erwin Johnson, Rashadd Strongs, and Terry Stinnett; great grandchildren: Dazamin Prince, Aliviah Strongs-West, and Jaycee Rogers-Swan; great-great grandson, Yacer Johnson; brothers: Merill "Chuck" Petties, Michael Jean Williams, Ronnie "Tilley" Petties, and Johnny Mayhook; sister, Vivian Petties; nieces, Doniell and Selnea; nephew, Dominique Petties; and many cousins. He also leaves behind his beloved partner, Betty Johnson.
