Ida Lesher Obituary
Ida Jo (Alford) Lesher passed away June 5, 2026 in Duncan, Oklahoma at the age of 91 years and 1 day.
A memorial service will be held June 13, at 10:30 A.M. at Road to Eternity Church located at 1605 N 5th, Duncan, Oklahoma officiated by Reverend Dean Hall.
Ida was born June 4, 1935 to Marvin Price Alford and Gladys Olive (Lemons) Alford at the family home in Woodlawn Community in Grady County, Oklahoma.
Ida has 3 children: Billy Ray Shahan, Phyllis Sue (Shahan) Smith, and Douglas Ray Shahan.
Ida lived many years in California where she worked, owned rental property, and owned a business where she made custom artist canvases that she shipped all over the world. She returned to Oklahoma after retirement to be closer to her family here.
Ida is survived by her daughter, Phyllis Smith; 4 grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren; many great-great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Ida was preceded in death by her parents; both sons; 1 grandson; her 3 brothers: Deward Martin, Willie Alford, Marvin Alford; and 4 sisters: Oma Hartz, Claudia Adams, Mary Alford, and Thelma Smith.
Ida had a great sense of humor and loved to play games, do crafts, paint, and was always ready to go somewhere. She loved visiting with her family and friends and having them close. She will be greatly missed by all who loved her.
