Iva Nell (Pemberton) Smith

Mary Iva Nell Smith, formerly of Ringling, was born September 16, 1930, in Cornish, OK to Leroy “Tudd” Pemberton and Thelma (Wade) Pemberton. She passed away on January 11, 2019, at the age of 88.
A visitation will be held Sunday, January 13, 2019, from 2pm-4pm at the funeral home. Funeral services will be held Monday, January 14, 2019, at 10:00am at the Whitt Funeral Home Chapel officiated by Bro. Billy Morgan. Committal service will be at 1:30pm at Ringling Memorial Cemetery under direction of Whitt Funeral Home.
Iva graduated from Ringling High School. She married Roy Franklin Smith on May 27, 1952, in Matoon, IL. He preceded her in death in 1995. Iva worked for Perkins Insurance Agency for many years as a secretary. She enjoyed gardening and being outdoors. She loved spending time with her family, especially playing with her grandkids.
Iva is preceded in death by her parents, Leroy and Thelma Pemberton; husband, Roy Smith; a son, Mike Smith; siblings: Jerry Pemberton, L.C. Pemberton, Royce Pemberton and Claudine Briscoe.
Survivors include her children, Marty Smith of Duncan and Lisa McFarland and husband Steve of Duncan; grandchildren: Mary Smith of Duncan, Lori Schoonover and husband Luke of Duncan, Heath Smith and wife Nicole, and Shane Jones and wife Breanna; great-grandchildren: Ian Smith, Cole Smith, Tristen Smith, Stevie Smith, Kali Jones, Lane Jones, Quenn Estes, Max Schoonover; brothers, Alton Pemberton of Cornish and Ray Pemberton of Lawton; and sisters: Serelda Hager of Duncan and Glenda Lester.
