Jackie Dwayne Hix

Jackie (Jack) Dwayne Hix was born December 3, 1948 in Lawton, OK to Anna Mae Mansel-Vasil and Charley Clifford Hix. He passed January 8, 2025 in Lawton, OK with family by his side.

Jack joined the Marines in 1967 and was medically discharged. He went on to become a truck driver and retired in 2020. He enjoyed fishing, playing yahtzee, and being ornery. He spent his retired days watching westerns and spending time with his grandchildren.

Jack was preceded in death by his parents; and 2 sisters, Charlotte Rust and Kathy Bartley.

He is survived by his wife, Laura Hix of Apache; brother, Cole Hix of Apache; 10 children- Alicia Bonaparte of Cement; Shelly Anderson and husband Ronald of Elgin; Angie Lutonsky of OK; Franda Back and husband Charlie of Kentucky; Joni Daniels and husband Brett of Kentucky; Jackie Young and Sandy Young both of Lawton; Roy Dowling and significant other Britney, Denise Dowling and significant other Ryan, Elizabeth Young and husband Meljuan, all of Apache; brother-in-law, Doyle Bartley of Lawton; and many grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

Memorial services will be held Saturday, January 18, 2025, at 11:00 A.M. at the First Baptist Church in Apache, OK with Albert Ankney officiating. Arrangements have been entrusted to Crews Funeral Home.
