James Bennett Obituary
James Darrell Bennett was born May 6, 1964, in Duncan, Oklahoma. He passed away on May 15, 2020, at the age of 56.
A memorial service is being planned for a later date. Cremation arrangements have been entrusted to Whitt Funeral Home/Oakcrest Cremation Center.
James was a 1982 graduate of Duncan High School. He was employed as a firefighter and also as a truck driver. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, golfing and hanging out with his friends. He also liked archery and watching action and comedy movies. James loved to go to the casino.
He was preceded in death by his father, James Gordon Bennett, and his grandparents, Lester R. Love and Geraldine Love.
James is survived by his mother, Donna Jean (Love) Hickenbottom; daughter, Jayme Dannelle Bennett and Christopher Barnes; grandchildren, Kaydence Alexis Barnes and Ryleigh Lynn Bennett-Smith; brother, Rick Hickenbottom; aunt, Debra Beene; nieces, Cassie and Callie; children he loved as his own: Brant Hackler, Blaize Hackler, and Keeley Hackler; and his cat, Cali.
