Obituary
James Riley Snyder passed away on August 26, 2023, at home with his family by his side. James was born in Owosso, Michigan on September 20, 1946.
He attended St. Paul's Catholic School for all grades and graduated from Northwood University with a Bachelor's degree. He retired as assistant director at Homeward Bound in 2015, but continued to work in the recovery community until his death. He was very active in Narcotics Anonymous and helped countless people on their spiritual recovery. Jim traveled all over the world. He loved to build things and could fix pretty much anything. He never met a stranger.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Royal and Katie Snyder and brother Mike. He is survived by his wife of 40 years, Tina; his son, Michael Snyder and Amanda Deerfield; granddaughter, Claire; brothers: Charles Snyder, Jerry Snyder and wife Chris; sisters: Beth Snyder, Mary Jo Benson and husband Tom.
Per Jim's wishes there will be no service but a celebration of life memorial on a future date.
