James Wakeland Obituary
James Herbert Wakeland was born November 12, 1966 in Garland, Texas to Ray Von Wakeland and Julie (Walls) Robinson. He passed away unexpectedly at his home in Duncan, Oklahoma on Saturday, March 22, 2025, at the age of 58.
A Celebration of Life service is planned for 3:00 P.M., Sunday, April 6, at 616 North J Street in Duncan. Cremation arrangements are being handled by Whitt Funeral Home/Oakcrest Cremation Center.
James worked as a plumber most of his life. He enjoyed fishing, hunting, and playing horseshoes. He married Marcy Wooten on November 5, 1987. He loved spending time with his family and his pet dogs.
James is survived by his wife of 38 years, Marcy; father, Ray Von Wakeland; brother, Kenneth Wakeland of Macomb, Illinois; and sister, Jennifer Lindsey of Duncan. He was preceded in death by his mother, Julie Robinson; brother, Ranny Wakeland; and sister, Cynthia Young.
