Janet Rosine Obituary

Janet Lee Rosine was born August 26, 1958 in Goessel, Kansas to Donald James and Parlee Lillian (Martin) Bloomer. She completed life's journey in Duncan, Oklahoma on May 26, 2021 at the age of 62.

A graveside service is scheduled for Tuesday, June 1, 2021, at 2:00 P.M. in the Prairie Lawn Cemetery in Peabody, Kansas with Dr. Jerry Black officiating. Arrangements have been entrusted to Whitt Funeral Home.

Janet graduated from Peabody High School with the class of 1975. She married her life partner, Randy Scott Rosine, on January 25, 1975 at Peabody. They raised two children, Matthew and Dawn. In 1980 the family moved to Duncan.

She was an excellent cook and loved making big dinners. She enjoyed painting ceramics, arranging flowers, quilting, sewing (including knitting and crocheting), and fishing. She had a servant's heart and loved visiting people in the hospital. She was a member of the West Side Christian Church where she was active in church and fellowship activities. Janet and Randy became business partners when they opened their clock repair business, "Rosine Clock Repair," in October 2018.

Janet is survived by her husband of 46 years, Randy; children: Matthew Scott and wife Christa Rosine of Helena, Montana and Dawn and husband Clint Carman of Norman; grandchildren: Chalice Rosine, Autumn Rosine, Hannah Rosine, Mara Carman, and Canaan Carman; sisters, Marcia and husband Bruce Sebree of Newton, Kansas and Donna and husband Steve Glover of Peabody; six nieces and nephews; and mother-in-law, Beverly Rosine of Newton.

She was preceded in death by her parents and many other family members.
