Janet "Jan" Woodard Obituary

Janet "Jan" Ruth Woodard was born on December 7, 1947, in Tyler, Texas, to Hubert and Ruth Flynn. She became affectionately known as "The Tyler Rose." To her daughter Mindy, she was her "beautiful brown eyed girl."

Her father passed away when she was young, and at just 16, she lost her mother. She then moved to Duncan, Oklahoma, where she was welcomed into the home of her brother, Don Flynn, and his wife, Pat. Jan graduated from Duncan High School. After high school, she moved to Stillwater, Oklahoma, where she attended OSU.

She began her career as a hairdresser but later transitioned into the medical profession, where she found her true calling in helping others. Eventually, she returned to Duncan, where she was reunited with and married the love of her life, Larry Woodard.

Jan will be remembered as a loving, generous, and kindhearted woman of deep faith in Christ Jesus, her Savior. She was deeply devoted to her family and friends. Her warmth, laughter, and unwavering support touched countless lives.

Jan was a picture of strength, not only for herself but also for her daughter, facing life's challenges with unwavering resilience, grace, and an unbreakable spirit of love and support.

She is survived by her devoted husband of 39 years, Larry Woodard; her daughter and best friend, Mindy Bohn, and husband Brian of Wichita Falls, Texas; her brother, David Flynn, and wife Jill of Tulsa, Oklahoma; her grandsons, Loftin Davoult and fiancée Ashley, and Jantzen Davoult and girlfriend Valerie; and her precious great-granddaughter, Lyla Ruth Davoult. She was grateful to her niece, Liz Flynn, and nephew, Mike Flynn, for all of their help. She also leaves behind her beloved bonus family: son, Roy Davoult; daughters: Lana Harris and Shana Pollock; as well as numerous nieces, nephews, and countless friends and admirers.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Hubert and Ruth Flynn; her brother, Hugh Flynn and sister-in-law Ann; her brother, Don Flynn and sister-in-law Pat; and her in-laws, Ruth Ann and Byron "Woody" Woodard.

"Jesus said to her, 'I am the resurrection and the life. He who believes in Me, though he may die, he shall live. And whoever lives and believes in Me shall never die...'" - John 11:25-26

Jan's love, kindness, and strong faith will forever be cherished by those who knew her.
