Jarrell Trent Heath Obituary

After a battle with dementia, Jarrell Trent Heath, at the age of 75, passed to his heavenly residence on Monday, March 24, 2025, with his family at his bedside.

Memorial services are planned for Monday, April 7, 2025, at 2:00 P.M. in the Whitt Funeral Chapel with Billy Morgan officiating.

Jarrell was born to Noel and Myrtle (Howk) Heath on May 19, 1949, in the Lindley Hospital in Duncan, Oklahoma. Growing up in Duncan, he attended Lee Elementary School and Duncan Junior High School. He graduated in 1967 from Duncan High School. After attending Vo-Tech for 2 years, he went to work for Brown & Root then Halliburton. He started in the machine shop and eventually moved to the Procurement department completing 47 years with the company. Also, Jarrell served in the Army National Guard during his employment with Halliburton.

Jarrell met Margaret Presley, thru special friends, the Spurgin's, and were married August 1, 1970. To their union four daughters were born: Melissa, Allison, Lauren and Kelsey.

Among the activities Jarrell enjoyed doing were: playing racquetball, riding motorcycles, four-wheelers, and camping with family at the lake. He loved watching the grandchildren play all their many different sports. He also enjoyed going to concerts, especially with his daughters. Elvis Presley was his favorite performer. A highlight of his life was a daughter-daddy trip to Memphis, TN and tour of Elvis's home and other sites.

Jarrell accepted Jesus as his Savior and served his Lord. He taught Sunday School and served in the deacon ministry at Immanuel Baptist Church. Later he also attended Ray of Hope church.

Left behind to cherish his memories are his wife, Margaret: daughters and sons-in-law: Melissa and Mike Baldwin, Allison and Brad Hunt, Lauren (Heath) and Daniel Varnell, Kelsey and Jake Pierson; grandchildren: Makayla Gibson, Maranda Gibson, Macie Baldwin, Skyler and Grace Baldwin, Alexis Baldwin, Jack Baldwin, Alaina Baldwin, Kaden Hunt, Sydney and Joe Ferguson, Trent Hunt, Presley Hunt, Shyann Snyder, Maverick Snyder, Katy Pierson, Lane Pierson, Nora Pierson, Keely Johnson; and great grandchildren: Cash Baldwin, Kennedy Cusumano and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.

Jarrell was preceded in death by his parents and brother, James Durwood Heath.

We want to give a special thanks to the DRH Hospice Department and especially: Mike, Pete, Misti, Latricia, Lucy-and the DRH Home Health Department and especially: Will. Our family appreciates the kindness shown while caring for Jarrell.
