Jay went to work for Goodyear Tire in 1982 in Lawton, working as a tire builder for 35 years until the time of his retirement in 2017. Anyone who knew Jay knew he was a worker. He worked hard and he loved his job. He was always willing to go the extra mile working overtime any time he was needed.
In Jay’s life, he enjoyed watching OU and Dallas Cowboys football, camping and fishing. He loved spending time with his grandkids.
Jay later met Rita Dees of Comanche and, after many years together as a couple, they married.
