Jeffrey Lynn Olson

Jeffrey Lynn Olson, 65, of Duncan, Oklahoma, passed away at his home on Sunday, June 14, 2026. He was born September 21, 1960, in Emmett, Idaho, to Dr. Dale and Genevieve (Lund) Olson.

Jeff graduated from Emmett High School before attending the University of Idaho. In 1989, he answered the call to serve his country and joined the United States Army. During the Gulf War, he distinguished himself with courage and dedication, earning three Bronze Stars among other commendations. His service was a source of deep pride for both him and his family.

After completing his military service, Jeff built a career in retail management. Outside of work, he enjoyed a life filled with simple pleasures and the things he loved most. He had a soft spot for his pets, loved watching sports, and found peace in fishing, golfing, and gardening. Above all, Jeff treasured time spent with his family. His greatest joy came from being a father and grandfather, and he cherished every moment with those he loved.

Preceded in death by his parents, Jeff is survived by his partner, Lisa Warr of the home; his children, Greg Olson of Boise, Idaho, and Bridget Moore and husband Shawn of Duncan; and his beloved grandchildren: Jackson Moore, Rylee Moore, Austin Moore, Luke Moore, and Hazel Moore.

He is also survived by his brothers, Dave Olson of Oregon and Jim Olson of Idaho; and his sister, Heather Olson of Oregon.

The family extends a heartfelt thank you to Chisholm Trail Hospice for the compassionate care and support provided to Jeff and his family.

Jeff will be remembered for his service, his kindness, and the love he had for his family. His presence will be deeply missed, and his memory will be cherished always.
