Jerald Ray Adams was born on July 14, 1933 in Louisville, Kentucky to Charles W. Adams and Elfra Adams. He passed away on January 6, 2022 at Comanche Memorial Hospital in Lawton, Oklahoma at the age of 88.

He attended college in Louisville and was drafted into the U.S. Army in 1953 and was later honorably discharged after being in the hospital with TB in 1957.
Jerald worked in sales before and after the Army, starting at the Enro Shirt Factory and then traveling to many different places until the 1990's when he moved to Duncan, Oklahoma to live near family. He was the owner/operator of J &J Singer. He also was employed by DalSew in El Paso, Texas for 11 years. He was an honorable Louisville Colonel for many years. He enjoyed collecting guns, coins and antique sewing machines. He loved to learn and read about history. Jerald was a very social person and loved being out and about in his community.
He was preceded by Imogene Claypool Adams, the love of his life for 67 years, along with his parents and 4 brothers.
Jerald is survived by a son Russell W. Adams and daughter Laura D. Pledger, both of Duncan; 4 grandchildren; 8 great grandchildren; special sister-in-law, Charlene Weihe, of Louisville; and one brother, William Adams, of Colorado.
