He was a member of the Stephens County Road Riders Cycle Club. He also loved his dog, Gizmo, who was his best friend and constant companion.

Preceded in death by his parents and sister, Shirley Rodgers, Jerold is survived by his children: Sonya Baugh and husband Bryan, Jason Vaughn, Jerold "Brent" Vaughn Jr., Johnny Vaughn; grandchildren: Ashley, Alison, Carson, Lauren, Cooper, Dominic, Damien, and Tito; and 8 great-grandchildren.
