Jerry Don Denton

Jerry Don Denton, 71, of Apache, Oklahoma, passed away surrounded by family on Saturday, October 25, 2025, in Chickasha. Born in Anadarko, on January 16, 1954, Jerry was the son of "Heavy" and Helen (Huffman) Denton. He was a man of quiet strength, deep loyalty, and tireless dedication to his family and community.

A memorial service is planned for 1:00 P.M., Saturday, November 1, at the First Pentecostal Holiness Church. Cremation arrangements are being handled by Crews Funeral Home/Oakcrest Cremation Center.

Jerry spent many years working at the Apache Co-Op, where his hard work and reliability earned the respect of all who knew him. Whether hauling hay in the summer or ginning cotton in the winter, Jerry never shied away from a job that needed doing. Outside of work, he found joy in the simple pleasures of life. Jerry loved working in his shop with his son Zeke, father-daughter time with his girls, Crystal and Casey, mowing the grass, playing Pinochle with his brother Jed and sisters, Louise and Linda, and robust games of Wahoo with his wife Dena and brother and sister-in-law, Lonnie and Diane Hohman. Jerry cherished family cookouts filled with laughter and good food. He was a proud supporter of his children and grandchildren, attending their games and activities.

He was preceded in death by his parents; brothers: Jed, James, Bobby, Charlie; grandparents: Ed and Beulah Denton, Walter and Louise Franklin.

Survivors include his wife of 41 years, Dena; children: Crystal Davis and husband Brad, Casey Coffman and husband Bryce, Zeke Denton and wife Rachel; grandchildren: Tanner Mindemann, Braydon Davis, Tucker Coffman, Bodee Coffman; great-grandchildren: Weston, JD, and Walker; and sisters: Louise Huckleberry and Linda Kemper. Jerry's legacy is one of love, hard work, and unwavering devotion to those he held dear. He will be deeply missed and fondly remembered by his family, friends, and all who had the privilege of knowing him.
