Jerry "Don" Glover

Jerry Don Glover of Duncan, OK, passed into the next life on May 14, 2026, at the Veterans Retirement Home in Lawton, OK.

Don was born on November 7, 1947, in Harden City, OK, a small community near Ada. He graduated from Empire School in 1966 and attended Oklahoma University for a short time before he was drafted into the Army. He served in Vietnam in an artillery unit and received Purple Heart and Bronze Star medals for his service.

Afterward, he attended Central State University and earned a business degree. A large part of his career was spent with Halliburton working as an area credit manager in Oklahoma City, Pittsburgh, and Corpus Christi. He finished his career working for firms in Houston and Oklahoma City. After retirement, he returned to Duncan.

Don always had a sharp wit and sense of humor. He was an avid gun collector and a fan of nice cars. He was a man's man in many ways.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Floyd and Ida Glover of Duncan, and by his son, Christopher.

Don is survived by his wife, Lene Glover of Duncan; siblings: Cynthia Henderson and husband Richard of Edmond, Walter Glover and wife Diana Byford Glover of Katy, TX; his son, Alex Glover and his wife Kaelyn and Alex's children: Aiden Glover, Kaira Streeter, Laney Baker of Oklahoma City, and Shane Roy, Ian Glover of Norman, OK; Christopher's children: Justin Glover and wife Abby of Oklahoma City, Preston Glover of Houston, and Gaby Bynam and husband Chayton of Ft. Cobb, OK. Also, numerous nieces and nephews.

A memorial service will be held at 11:00 A.M., Thursday, May 21, at Ft. Sill National Cemetery in Elgin. Cremation arrangements are being handled by Whitt Funeral Home/Oakcrest Cremation Center.
