Jimmie Dewayne Fleetwood Obituary

Jimmie Dewayne Fleetwood was born October 20, 1947 in Duncan, OK to J.D. and Louise (Morton) Fleetwood. He went to be with the Lord in the early morning hours of Tuesday, September 16, 2025 in Lawton, OK. He was 77 years old.

Funeral services are planned for 1:30 P.M., Tuesday, September 23, at New Hope Baptist Church with Rev. Randy Southerland officiating. Interment will follow in the Resthaven Memorial Gardens under the direction of Whitt Funeral Home.

Jimmie joined the US Marines where he served for 3 years beginning in 1967. On July 30, 1971, he married Barbara Tonkinson and together raised their children, Jennifer and Brad. Jimmie worked for Halliburton throughout his life but in his free time, he enjoyed playing golf and loved his dogs who were his constant companions. His greatest joy was spending time with his family especially his grandchildren.

Preceded in death by his parents, Jimmie is survived by his wife of 54 years, Barbara; children: Jennifer Morris of Midlothian, TX, Brad Fleetwood of Weatherford, OK; grandchildren: Aaron Morris, Addison Morris, Ally Fleetwood; and sisters: Lisa Calger and Cindy Longendelpher.
