Jimmy Wayne McCann

Jimmy Wayne McCann was born on November 12, 1955, in Wynnewood, Oklahoma to mother Ouida Gail (Wadley) Duckworth and parents Jim Ray and Peggy Dean McCann. He completed his earthly journey at the age of 67 on Friday, August 11, 2023 in Duncan.

A memorial service is planned for 1:00 P.M. on Saturday, August 19, at Whitt Funeral Home Chapel with Pastor James Mitchell of The Harvest Church in Marlow officiating. An inurnment service will follow in the Paoli Cemetery in Paoli, Oklahoma. Arrangements have been entrusted to Whitt Funeral Home/Oakcrest Cremation Center.

After graduating from White Deer High School in White Deer, Texas, Jimmy worked in the oil and gas industry. He first worked alongside his father and brother for 8 years well servicing, and then continued his career working for B&B Solvent and then Pacer Energy. Jimmy liked reading and watching "Jeopardy." He enjoyed it so much he and his brother Dan even tried out to be contestants on the show. He looked forward to yearly trips with his White Deer friends to Las Vegas. He was a great dancer known for his two-stepping and waltzing. He loved being with his family and friends, enjoying good food and telling stories.

Preceded in death by his parents Jim and Peggy, and mother Ouida, Jimmy is survived by his brother, Dan McCann and wife Lori; sisters: Carla Baskett and husband Mitch, Carla Richerson, Dona Griffin and husband Tommy, and Pam Duckworth; nephews: Bobby Allen and wife Tina Griffin, Dagan and wife Kristina McCann, Colter Baskett, Caleb McCann, Kade Golleher, Zach Shaw, Hunter Baskett; nieces: Casey and husband Charlie Tuttle and Larri Golleher; great-nephews: Kaden Baskett, Logan and wife Destiny Griffin, Colt Harrison; and great-nieces: Caitlyn Richerson and Briella Harrison.
