In August of 1960, Jimmy married the love of his life, Carolyn McCay. Together they built a life filled with love and laughter. He began his career as a barber but found his true calling as a trim carpenter, a trade he practiced with pride for most of his life. He always said he "was a carpenter just like Jesus." In his spare time, Jimmy crafted beautiful urns, a testament to his skill and care.
Jimmy found joy in the simple pleasures-mowing his yard, tending to his garden where he grew okra and tomatoes, and cheering on his grandchildren at their sporting events. Known affectionately as "Grampy," he was a master storyteller whose tales will live on in the hearts of those who loved him.
He is survived by his devoted wife, Carolyn; daughter, Pam Orf and husband Stacy; son, David Love and wife Heather; grandchildren: Ashley Herrin, Alex Rhude and husband Hunter, Colton Love and wife Jenine, Walker Love and wife Jera, Cooper Love; great-grandchildren: Houston Herrin, Rory Love, Jensen Love, Stella Rhude, Tuff Love, Logan Love, Libby Love, Sutton Rhude; brother, Clifford Love and wife Olga; sister, Linda Garrett and husband Nick; and sisters-in-law: Donis Love and Gail Love.
Jimmy was preceded in death by his parents; his son, Danny Lee Love; brothers: Charlie Love and B.J. Love; and sister, Beth Richardson.
