Jo Della Korkoski

Jo Della Korkoski, beloved wife, mother, grandmother, and friend, passed away peacefully on November 9, 2025, at the age of 99. Born in Comanche County, Oklahoma, to George and Kate (Hobbs) Pales, Jo lived a life marked by grace, generosity, and devotion to those she loved.

Jo graduated from Apache High School in 1944. On April 7, 1947, she married the love of her life, Lee Thomas Korkoski, in Columbus, Kansas. Together, they built a life rooted in love, laughter, and shared adventures.

Jo worked as a clerk at Fort Sill, retiring in 1986, where her diligence and warmth left a lasting impression. She had a passion for the beautiful details of life. She found joy in cooking delicious meals, decorating her home with care, and indulging in shopping trips. Her elegant calligraphy and interest in genealogy reflected her appreciation for history and heritage. She cherished traveling, always eager to explore new places and connect with people along the way.

Above all, Jo was devoted to her family. Her nurturing spirit, boundless kindness, and unwavering support made her a cornerstone in the lives of those who knew her. She had a gift for making others feel seen, heard, and cared for-a legacy that will live on in the hearts of her loved ones.

Jo is survived by her grandchildren: Mary Kliewer and husband Justin of Thomas, OK, Melody Blosser and husband Lendell of Yale, OK; great-grandchildren: Matthew Aufill (Taylor), Darcey Simpson (Quentin), Bailey Kliewer, Kalli Justice (Dalton), Chisholm Kliewer (Rylee); great-great-grandchildren: Sawyer Simpson, Kort Simpson, Lainey Mae Justice, Lottie Justice, Clancy Kliewer, and soon-to-be-here, Lenni Jo Simpson and Hazel Jo Aufill; and nieces, Nancy Keys and Suzanne Miller.

She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Lee; daughter, Mary Elaine Claborn; and brothers: James Pales and Bob Pales.

Viewing will be available at Crews Funeral Home from 2:00 P.M. to 7:00 P.M. on Tuesday, November 11, 2025. There is no formal family visitation. A graveside service is planned for 11:00 A.M., Wednesday, November 12, at Fairview Cemetery with Jim Hall officiating.
