John Samuelson Obituary
John Eric Samuelson, 72, went to be with the Lord on Saturday, February 1, 2025, in Duncan, Oklahoma. He was born December 25, 1952, in Roslyn, New York to Roy and Catherine (Fennamore) Samuelson.
There are no services planned at this time. Cremation services have been entrusted to Whitt Funeral Home/Oakcrest Cremation Center.
After graduating from high school in New York, John attended Hillsdale College in Kansas where he earned a Bachelor's Degree. He worked for Boeing and Valco in Quality Assurance before retiring in 2002. John was an avid sports fan and enjoyed reading, especially suspense novels. Most of all, John loved his family and spending time with them.
Preceded in death by his parents, John is survived by his wife of 22 years, Kathe; children: Gayle Creamer and husband Bill of Shawnee, KS, Marc Samuelson of Overland Park, KS, Amy Sears of Wichita, KS, Anthony Hanley and wife Dawnyale of Norman, OK, and Tressa Kirilloff of Jacksonville, FL; 18 grandchildren; and 6 great-grandchildren. Other survivors include brother, Pete Samuelson of Savannah, GA; and sisters: Barbara McLoud and husband Dave of North Carolina, Ann Thorn and husband Gary of Granbury, TX, Ellen Samuelson of Boston, MA, and Abbie Seibert and husband Mike of Boston, MA.
