Nat was a kind, loving, hard-working man. He was a man of great faith which never faltered, even when Alzheimer’s took over. He enjoyed early mass and always helping to serve in any way possible. Nat was a generous man, always giving to different charities.

Nat worked for Paul Walker for many years; horses were his passion. He loved the outdoors. After retiring from ranching, he went to work at the Vo-Tech as a custodian. Nat loved people; he made many friends, whether they were students, co-workers, or just visitors. He never met a stranger.

He enjoyed exercising, eating healthy, being outdoors, listening to music and dancing but, above all, he loved his family dearly.

He was preceded in death by his parents; three brothers, Anastacio Hernandez, Inez Hernandez, Valentin Hernandez; and daughter-in-law, Angie Hernandez.

Nat is survived by his children: Isabel and husband Buddy Barber of Malvern, Arkansas; Gilbert Hernandez and Whitney of Allen, Texas; Olivia Hernandez and fiancé Ron of Midwest City, Oklahoma; Oscar Hernandez of Seguin, Texas; Ana and husband Greg Skelly of Oklahoma City; Alma Hernandez of Duncan; mother of his children, Gudelia Hernandez; grandchildren: Megan and husband Chance Meeks; Chris and wife Amber Barber; Crystal Barber; Gina Hernandez; Hana Hernandez; Emma Hernandez; Kala Hernandez; Antonio Jones, Mateo Jones, Kyli Jones; Andrea Hernandez; Abbi Hernandez; Ashlee Hernandez; D’Ana Guzman; Brandon Skelly; Julia Skelly; Daniel Gonzalez; Delia Gonzalez; Susie Gonzalez; Maddie Richardson; great grandchildren: Autumn Gonzalez, Penelope Hernandez; Adyson Barber; Blaklyn Barber; Kenedi Barber; Camdon Barber; brothers: Gerardo Hernandez of Mexico; Ramon Hernandez of Mexico; Paul Hernandez of Texas; Martin Hernandez of Texas; Roy Hernandez of Texas; Inez Hernandez of Texas; Daniel Hernandez of Texas; sisters: Emma of Mexico; Ermelinda of Mexico; Theodora Hernandez of Texas; Carmen Hernandez of Texas; Elvira Hernandez of Texas; Toni Salazar of Texas; Tina Hernandez of Texas; stepmother, Maria Hernandez; and many nieces and nephews.
