Judy Lynn Huffman, 67, of Duncan, Oklahoma, passed away peacefully at her home on Thursday, May 14, 2026, surrounded by the love of her family. She was born April 29, 1959, in McCrory, Arkansas, to Donald Smith and Jacquelene Wales. Judy was lovingly raised by her mother and stepfather, Charles Henderson, who remained a steady and cherished presence throughout her life.
Judy dedicated more than 20 years to her calling as a Licensed Practical Nurse. She cared for countless residents in nursing homes across Oklahoma, including five years at the VA Home in Lawton and seven to eight years at Meridian Nursing Home. Nursing was not just her profession-it was her passion. She had a gift for caring for others with patience, compassion, and a gentle spirit that left a lasting impact on everyone she served.
On May 5, 2001, Judy married, Randy Dale Huffman. Together they built a life filled with shared projects and simple joys. They enjoyed remodeling homes side by side, spending time camping in the quiet of nature, watching old movies, and attending blues festivals.
Judy is survived by her husband, Randy; her son, Matthew Gitchel and his wife, Ariel; her stepfather, Charles Henderson; her brother, David Smith; and her sister, Donna Smith. She also leaves behind extended family members and friends who will forever remember her kindness and strength.
She was preceded in death by her mother, Jacquelene; her father, Donald; and her brothers, Steve Smith and Richard Smith.
